Bonny Blackpool (a poem by Grey Rabbit)
Sparkle, sparkle Bonny Blackpool
Trams aglow with, red, green, yellow
Watch how the glitter ball shines like a disco halo
Orchestra Assembled, percussion, trumpets and cello
Lights decorating the night streets, making Blackpool’s festive meadow.
Music calling the people to the dance hall;
Cinderella carriages drawn by mule;
twinkle onwards towards the ball
Bonny Blackpool Illuminates the skies
Bulbs strung high
To welcome Santa as he flies
The city decorated bright to say a grateful goodbye
Along with thanksgiving gift of mince pies
