Jo Henry Roundtree was the founder of Roundtree confectionary in York. He was a successful sweet maker and charitable man who gave back to his community in York. He built homes schools and gave charity to the poor living in the city of York. Joseph Rowntree was a visionary quaker, businessman who believed in social reform. He built a village in York, for people on low incomes, including factory, giving them homes at affordable rents. Even though Joeseph Roundtree did good works in his home town of York his evidence had a horrific shadow the industry he was a participant in the international slave trade and Roundtree was no innocent in the use of forced labour and slave trading in the candy making trade.

Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory a 1970s musical film based on the character and book of Roald dahl the music and songs are inspiring. The visuals and storytelling spark the imagination.

The York chocolate story and York Castle Museum show the history of candy making in the history city of York. The history blends its self perfectly into willy Wonka Jo Henry Roundtree Fan Fiction with a blend of Grey Rabbits unique travel voice.

‘I have got in touch with my good friend and chocolaty travel companion; The great Willy Wonka! I have asked his permission to use his wonderful composed music to assist in the immersive experience. I also enclose a taster of some of my candy work. I would ask you to kindly eat this whilst you read my letter.

Following these basic instructions will bring my letter to life. It will be as if we are sitting together by the fire drinking hot chocolate whilst our toes toast.’
